Comments
Comments: report is for the black mountain in benton. overall there is very little actual snow on the trail. lots of bare ground and ice to start then a large stretch of mostly bare ground before patchy snow/ice and a few significant ice flows higher up befor the summit. no need for more than light traction until there is some new snow. the summit ledges were bare and we followed a vague herd path north to more ledges and the not tippy rock. good views despite a bit of overcast.
