| Comments: |
Microspikes car to car. No need for snowshoes. Trail was a frozen sidewalk. Evidence of old postholing when folks stepped off the monorail, but the holes were mostly filled in. Some hard ice in the first mile in some flat areas where water had pooled, but careful foot placement in spikes made these patches drama free. Summit area of Waumbek had a little bit of drift.
Beautiful day to be out. Sunny with almost no wind which was nice considering the cold. Saw no one else. Well, one chickadee that didn't hang around to exchange pleasantries. |
