Comments
Comments: Beautiful views from the outlooks and summit today! Sticky snow down low, generally good base; 6 - 8" powder beyond the first ledges/views. I used snowshoes up and back from the third water crossing. Trail had been broken out to just past the first outlook but three groups ahead of me had lost the trail at that point and turned back. I broke out the trail the rest of the way to the summit. Three groups came up behind me (not using snowshoes) so the trail is pretty well packed all the way now, though not fully consolidated beyond the second ledges. Microspikes will be fine at least to the first viewpoint, possibly all the way at this point. The Davis Path beyond the Crawford Spur is not broken out.
