| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Car planted at Indian Head resort as southern trailhead was not plowed. This led to a short three minute walk at end of day on snowmobile trail |
| Surface Conditions: |
Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Snow - Unpacked Powder, Snow/Ice - Postholes |
| Recommended Equipment: |
Snowshoes |
| Water Crossing Notes: |
All easy to stay dry |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Great condition. Great blue blazing on MP Trail, yellow blazes on IH Trail could use a touch-up. |
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Fin was the only pup out there and was very well behaved and friendly except when she growled at hikers who showed up after 10 minutes of having summit to ourselves. I was first embarrassed but turns out all three were post-holing fools so obviously she is a great judge of character and they deserved her ire! |
| Bugs: |
One mosquito sitting in middle of trail-he was crushed in case he was a new cold-immune species carrying deadly viruses |
| Lost and Found: |
Found my legs again after weeks of Mt. Willey recovery |
