Comments
Comments: Phenomenal day in the Presis. How often do you get temps in the 30’s, almost no wind, and be able to hike in just spikes car-to-car?

Went up Air Line, which was a nice hard-packed sidewalk. Once out of the trees, no issue navigating the rocks on the rest of Air Line, Gulfside, and up to the summit.

Coming down, the upper 1000’ of Valley Way was fairly unconsolidated, but had a stable base under it. You could have used snowshoes in this area, but it looks like most people (including our group) didn’t. Valley Way as a whole was a bit choppy and quite soft given the warm temps today. Almost everyone we saw today had snowshoes strapped to their packs. Love to see everyone coming prepared even though they weren’t needed today.
