Comments
Comments: Originally planned on hiking the Bonds, but I saw people headed down Black Pond Trail. Figured this would be my chance. I ended up passing these two ladies and continued my trek. Lincoln woods trail was very nicely broken out and Black Pond Trail was broken out as well, but had some postholes. Arrived at the Black Pond Bushwhack where I found multiple trails. I stuck with the higher elevation track, and ended up making my own trail to Lincoln Brook Trail using 2200 elevation and heading essentially straight north. Eventually fell on Lincoln Brook Trail and started breaking out Lincoln Brook Trail. Ended up not being able to find Owls Head Path and decided to turn around. However, shortly after turning around I ran into two hikers headed to Owls Head and they convinced me to give it another go. Thanks to them we found Owls Head Path. Our Route up the slide was interesting, but we made it safely to the summit. Decided to tackle the Brutus Bushwhack because the slide would be far from safe. Headed down from the summit where we found 3400 ft elevation and went south. Our Bushwhack was for the most part a gradual decline and ended up being a great way down. We found the Lincoln Brook Trail again and headed back to the Black Pond Bushwhack. I used their bushwhack out. Lastly, I need to give them a shoutout and a big thank you for allowing me to tag along.
