Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Lost my Suunto M-3 compass. It was in my hip belt pocket, which I discovered opens from front to back. Apparently while traversing the narrower sections of the WCT, a spruce bow must have pulled it open without my noticing and it fell out.

Comments
Comments: Relatively warm, dry, and for the most part, windless weather made for a pleasant day in the whites. The Webster Cliff trail had a single set of tracks, until I caught up with the source about a half mile in (Liam, if you happened to find my compass, please let me know, thx). Trail was unbroken and increased in depth with elevation, topping out with about a foot of new standing snow and drifts to 24", making for slow but steady going, which was fine because the ridge afforded me one of the finest views of Carrigain and Vose Spur. This continued until the summit of Webster, where there as another set of snowshoe tracks from the other direction. Heading to Jackson, I encountered sporadic post holes, which increased in frequency beyond Jackson down to the hut. Mizpah Cutoff was not broken out and had about a foot of standing new snow on top of semi-consolidated, and as expected, Crawford path was a sidewalk. Thanks to the couple from Rhode Island for the ride back to my car.
