Comments
Comments: The trail was packed up to the summit of Mt. Tom and all we used was MicroSpikes. Willey Range Trail to Mt. Field was filled in so we put on our snowshoes. On the Willey Range Trail as we approached the intersection of Avalon Trail there were many paths to choose from; stay to the left rather than go up which would be your first instinct. Mostly overcast, but once in awhile the sun would pop out. Breezy on the ridge and summit, but not an issue, because of the mild temps. One other hiker today doing this loop on the opposite direction. On the descent had snow showers that turned to rain showers once we reached the truck.
