 | Comments: |
This is one of my favorite winter trails. The walk along Coppermine Brook is easy to follow with just a couple of short, wet boney sections that are easily bypassed. The copper and blue frozen falls are absolutely breathtaking. Today there was still water “falling†over the icy walls, but not sure how long that will last with the colder temps forecast for this week. The leanto just below the falls was a welcome resting spot providing cover from the snow that fell all day. We both used spikes on the way up, then I switched to snowshoes for part of the way down just to pack down the upper part of the trail. |
