	Parking/Access Road Notes:	Lot filled up as we headed out on the trail at 10:30am

	Surface Conditions:	Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Snow - Unpacked Powder, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Snow - Drifts

	Recommended Equipment:	Snowshoes, Traction

	Water Crossing Notes:	Many single hop water crossings, a few slightly wider ones. Unstable snow hanging off of the rocks.

	Comments:	Took Hancock Notch Trail to South Hancock and back down. Microspikes sufficed for most of the way. The snowfall picked up a bit by the time we got on the Hancock Loop Trail and that made for a looser surface. We threw on snowshoes for the steep lead up to South Hancock but we were slipping quite a bit due to the fresh snow - Strava says the last .3mi is ~40% grade! We switched back to microspikes for the descent to keep our feet agile, wish we prepared to sled down though.
