Comments
Comments: Started hike via GaleRiver Loop rd which first 1/3 was plowed and remainder hard packed from snowmobile use. Easy 2 mile approach to trailhead. Gale River Trail had been broken out from previous day though only for first 3 miles or so.Our party of four continued on and broke trail (18”-24” snow) up to junction w/ Garfield Ridge trail. Proceeded to break trail heading towards Galehead hut though stopped after about 1/4 mile after finding trail was difficult and day was getting late. Temps on trail 0-5 degrees with light wind on Garfield ridge trail.
