Comments
Comments: Started out -8 degrees brrrr..... put snowshoes on at Zealand road and kept them on the whole hike. Sugarloaf trail was pretty much broken out, maybe 1” dusting on it. Went up to middle first. Great views as always, Mt Washington was in the clouds. I noticed North wasn’t broke out at the col so I headed over breaking trail. About .2 miles in snowshoe tracks appeared coming in from the west??? Anyways it followed trail to the summit, I never saw anyone. Great views, could see the Green mountains in Vermont. Still saw no one when I got back to the col. As I was heading down I thought the trail was forming nicely because all it had seen was snowshoeing. Then I ran into 4 people, all in micro spikes. Chopped up the trai, I smoothed it down a little on my way out but that isn’t going to last long. Pretty good trench forming on Zealand road.
