Comments
Comments: Round Mountain is on the NH 500 Highest List. With temp starting at 0 degrees this was a nice choice. We started off on a well packed down Trout-n-Bacon Trail with our spikes strapped on. The trail is a very moderate climb with a last-minute scramble to Beacon Ledge with nice views to the south. We then continued on the same yellow blazed trail to the summit of Round Mountain finding the register just off the trail. From the summit we decided to do a little bushwhacking back to the car. We then jumped off the summit heading southwest in nice woods seeing lots of animal tracks along the way soon picking up the trail we came up on.
