Dummer Pond Road and Philips Brook Road were nicely plowed. Drove in 9.3 miles, parking just 0.2 mi. from Wind Farm road where East Branch Road turns off from Philips Brook Road. Plenty of room; wide plowed intersection. |

We were optimistic that the wind farm road would be either plowed, or snow-machined.... but it was neither. From where we parked, we snowshoed 0.2 mile on sno-mo'd trail... arriving at the intersection with the Fish Brook Road up to the wind farm. With 12" of soft powdery snow, and a good 3 - 3.5 miles of road walking in front of us, we turned around and will leave this peak for another time. |
