3 of us attempted, one of my friends got bad cramps just below Zeta Pass and we decided to go down. He was exhausted and ran headlong into one of the blowdowns, gashed up, I put a giant band aid on it and we got him down to 19 Mile where he descended to his car. My other friend and I went up to Carter Notch and spent the night in the hut. Um, hasn't changed much since my last stay there in Jan-88. Fun experience, cold! Lots wearing stabilicers, trail was well beaten down till after the blowdowns on CDT, then snowshoes were very nice. |
