Comments
Comments: Well our orginial plan was for Mt Kinsman trail... but it was not plowed so then we tried garfield lot... and that was not plowed either so we went well lets go for Cannon. 2 people were in front of us and they had switched from snowshoes to spikes.... So Ann was practically breakingn trail in the very soft snow that did not pack well. We passed them with two dogs at the top of the switchbacks on the ski trail. Then after the old man location we saw 2 skiers. After that the trail in the exposure was very hard to follow so we followed the ski track back to the trail very close to the cog. From there we just headed up to the peak and on the observation deck it was crazy windy! Heading back down was nice until we hit the part where we passed the spikes... we had to pretty much break on the way down as well... the snow is not compacting at all.
Maybe with the warmer temps it will pack some of the snow down... Til Next Time! Fun time out with the ladies!
