Comments: Snowmobile "bushwhack" from parking lot & Carter-Moriah

We had great conditions today. The trails were packed down and the snow was very hard. There was a set of snowshoe postholes, probably due to warm weather of past 2 days so the trail is hard but choppy. Our group of 8 in snowshoes & 2 with spikes were not able to smooth out the trail. We didn't make a dent in the snow today. Most of us wore snowshoes from the car to the summit but then all of us switched to light traction for the descent. There are some icy spots on some of the steep sections but today was among one of the easiest times that I've experienced for negotiating the steep sections.
