Comments
Comments: Two of us broke trail from the recent snow storm up to Middle and North Sugarloaf- anywhere between 2-3 inches and up to our knees in spots. Most of it was about a 5-6 inch sinking depth. In some areas, you could feel the crust breaking underneath you. We did not know until after that there was a ladder on the steep area right before the Middle Sugarloaf summit. We went up the side - ladder was covered in several inches of snow. Coming down we tried to side step but it was slippery and tricky. We kept snowshoes on the whole time.
