Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The water crossing was difficult in the morning because the rocks were covered with snow and ice making them difficult to locate, but the ice over water was not thick enough to stand on. By late afternoon most of the ice had washed away, making for a much easier crossing.

Comments
Comments: 8 to 12 inches of loose powder on top of mostly packed base in the morning. On the return to the trailhead the snow was sufficiently packed to make for easy snow shoeing. Still too loose for just traction or bare boots tho.
