Comments
Comments: Success after my second attempt of Mt Hale. Upon reviewing my GPS the last time I attempted it I was .8 miles from the summit when I had to turn around. This time around the trail was broken and made for an easier ascent. Zealand Rd is well packed and some folks were barebooting it but chopping it up some. Hale Brook trail has seen either snowshoes or skis and is in great shape. Monorail is still unstable so snowshoes are required. The summit cairn is one or two snowstorms away from being completely covered. There is no apparent traffic from Lend-A-Hand and honestly I couldn't find where it goes/starts from the summit clearing.
