Easy going yesterday. The shortcut from the Bike Path is well traveled and deep. Liberty springs is very well packed all the way to the ridge. The three of us wore snow shoes car to car because the traction was better, but the you could get away with spikes until the Ridge. Once on the ridge it got softer and more drifted. A couple in front of us had broken out between peaks, so it's still pretty soft and should definitely be done in snowshoes.
The trail between peaks is super narrow, so be prepared to swim through the trees, especially on the Liberty side of the col. |
