All are bridged. However there are some sections along the trail that have rotting, after the roller coaster part on FJ
*Caretaker advised me against crossing the open water |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
I am not sure if the AMC is redoing the sign, or a vandal pried the logo off the Lonesome Lake sign at Laf C.G. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Is it too much to ask to pick up your dogs poop? Atleast move it off trail if your going to be lazy. Lots of land mines in the trail corridor on LL |
|
| Bugs: |
Snow fleas for days |
|
| Lost and Found: |
There are single earrings like on atleast 5 branches. It was weird. |

| Comments: |
Trail is a packed and firm super highway to the hut. AFTER THE HUT, not so much. It's firm but rotting from the rains and the weather. There was a guy infront of me postholing in 30" snowshoes. The trail is not too bad to the Summit of North. Between N and S, its a little chopped up but its not ridiculous. Even in snowshoes it was a delight
Other trails for people that might need:
Mt Kinsman Trail appeared broke but no recent traffic (like in last few days)
Cascade Brook is broke.
Kinsman Ridge from FJ over the Cannonballs is not broke, nor has it seen any traffic since the last big storm
Dodge Cutoff is broke
Hi Cannon is broke but by barebooters so its choppy. |
