Lincoln Woods Trail, Black Pond Trail, bushwhack, Lincoln Brook Trail, Brutus bushwhack, Owls Head Path
This was the easiest winter ascent of Owls Head I’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing (and I’ve experienced quite a few). ;-) We left the snowshoes in the car and wore light traction most of the day, but you could easily get away with bare booting much of it. The bushwhack routes are very good, so no navigation was required this day. Green ice on the river was spectacular! |
