The trail was well packed. Higher up, especially on the ridge line, the trail was all ice. Lots of folks were doing fine with microspikes. I found crampons helpful for the return downhill. Definitely no need for snowshoes.
Temps were 8F 8:00am at base, estimating around 0F 12:00pm at summit with 50+ mph winds, 19F 2:00pm at base.
We saw at least 10 people in 6 groups over the day. |
