Perfect styrofoam snow (almost névé) pretty much all the way to treeline 0.25 mile from summit. Crampons stuck like a champ and we never post-holed. (there were old postholes from previous trips that were to be avoided) 4 hours up, 2 down. Last 0.25 mile was glare ice, could barely dent it with crampons. |
