Comments
Comments: Not nearly as icy as I thought it would be. Trail conditions mostly consisted of frozen granular snow with some minor postholes, as well as a few small areas of ice and dry trail. I comfortably did the whole hike wearing light traction. I noticed that while the trail was well traveled up to the open ledge area with the stone bench, there were almost no footprints or signs of foot traffic from that area to the actual summit (which is just off trail in the woods a short distance beyond the bench), so it seems like a very large portion of people hiking Bog Mountain don't know that the open ledges area isn't the true summit.
