|Hiking Trail Conditions Report|
||East Rattlesnake, NH|
||East Rattlesnake Trail, Ridge Trail|
|Date of Hike:
||Tuesday, February 12, 2019|
|Parking/Access Road Notes:
||Almost no room off Pinehurst Road. |
||Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular, Snow/Ice - Postholes |
||Light Traction |
|Water Crossing Notes:
||Open but hoppable. |
|Trail Maintenance Notes:
||Some large blowdowns on East Rattlesnake Trail. I removed some of the deadfall. |
|Lost and Found:
||Initial approach had a decent, frozen snowshoe track without postholes. East Rattlesnake Trail hasn't seen much use, so there's not a well established footbed. Ridge Trail, on the other hand, was treated brutally by a parasitic postholer.|
Generally 1-2 feet of snowpack.
Hopefully the incoming storm allows courteous snowshoers the opportunity to repair the posthole damage.
