Comments
Comments: Sunny and relatively warm with minimal winds. A beautiful day for a hike. There was plenty of traffic up and down Old Bridle Path to West Rattlesnake. I was all alone taking the Ridge Trail to East Rattlesnake and back. (Well, not totally alone. I saw some animal tracks - deer and I'm not sure what else, fox maybe?) Most hikers had snowshoes or spikes. I wore snowshoes the whole way. Old Bridle Path is pretty well packed, so spikes or even bare-boot would be OK. I was glad I had snowshoes on the Ridge Trail. I saw a few postholes just off the path. Old Bridle Path up to West Rattlesnake is a great bang-for-the-buck hike that wasn't too challenging. Ridge Trail was a different story - more challenging than I thought it would be. It was a good workout there and back. Views from West Rattlesnake are amazing!
