Overnight trip with my cousin. We hiked into the Langdon shelter breaking trail the whole way. Snowshoes are required, barebooters will not make it out alive as snow pack is approaching 4 feet. We dug out the fire pit at the shelter which had drifted to chest deep. We bailed on Mt Parker due to the exhausting work the day before but went and broke out the Cave Mountain Spur. We followed the trail best we could and after the cave the yellow blazes disappeared besides some orange ones we followed up to a viewpoint. Saw some bobcat tracks near the cave. Definitely a great and quiet spot for an overnight and one that sees little traffic. |
