Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Crossing point is a different one from the summer route - water is just a few inches deep, but since there aren't many large rocks it isn't possible to rock hop. May be doable further downstream.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The last few miles of trail, from the start of conifers up, is very brushy, so much so that I constantly had to duck and push branches aside, with few breaks. Most of this is due to the height of the snowpack, but it still obstructs the trail.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw one dog today - seemed to be having a great time!

Comments
Comments: 48/48! Beautiful day in the Whites, blue skies, warm temps, and almost no wind, even at the summit. I'd put off Carrigain forever, but finally decided to finish off the 4000ers - and what a day for it. I met a couple other groups, all with snowshoes.

Signal Ridge Trail is extremely brushy for its last few miles, once it hits the conifers. This happens as the snowpack raises the trail height, but it's particularly bad on this trail. Expect to constantly duck and push away branches for a good section of the trail.
