Comments
Comments: Two good reports posted for today already. Now here's the short lady's version. Very frustrating to make that steep climb only to be unable to summit due to my inability to navigate the icy areas. We wore snowshoes and carried microspikes. I wish I had brought the crampons! Most people were o.k. with spikes. Oh well, nice views from the ledges, where I sat and contemplated those who spend years and $$$$$$$$ to summit Everest, only to see the storm clouds surround it just as they're getting ready to summit. As long as I have $20 for the Toyota and $1 each way for the Hookset tolls I can go back and drag my sorry self up Jackson again and be home at night to write about it. This makes 7 for Prema and 6 for me for a list we are not doing. Oh yeah, and the earlier poster was right, intentionally or unintentionally, there was a whole lotta buttsliding!
