| Comments: |
Light snow all day. Started the day in snowshoes, and then switched to micro spikes due to a snowshoe malfunction about a 1.5 miles in. Could have gone either way, frankly to start (since many on the trail were quoting the other recent trail reports and debating this at the trailhead).
Descending the trail was not as packed due to the snowfall—about an inch or 1.5" fell during the day (1/18). Slid in some of the few steeper spots on the spikes, others around us were in snowshoes and more stable.
Great day in spite of the overcast and no view.
