| Comments: |
Davis Path is open and clear all the way to Crawford. From the Crawford spur junction I broke out 3-4 inches of new snow over a solid base of packed powder. Protect your neck and face from the plethora of chest/head high spruce boughs. The packed powder trail ended at Resolution and I broke out heavy knee to thigh deep snow to the Rocky Branch Junction continuing to Stairs Mountain. Passed about a dozen hikers on descent and Davis path was a packed powder super-highway.
A gorgeous bluebird day for three 52 WAV 3000 footers. Spectacular views from Crawford and Resolution. Directional views from Stairs. |
