Comments
Comments: Snowshoes in the morning up to treeline were a must on the Jewell as it was not broken out. Snow is soft so bring your snowshoes. Above treeline I ditched my snowshoes for light traction from the northern end of the Clay Loop out to Jefferson and back. On my way up to Washington I put my snowshoes back on and kept them on the rest of the way, although crampons are perfect too for above treeline between Clay and Monroe. Below treeline on Ammo, snowshoes fair the best.

A lot of hikers/skiers out and about taking advantage of the perfect weather.
