Comments
Comments: We missed the forecast on the wind today. Gusting in the parking lot we knew we were not making the top today. Tried out our MSR shoes today but trail was packed down. We figured once in the woods the wind would lessen....not today. Gusts were incredible so after maybe 45-60 mins we turned around. Trees were whipping & we worried about limbs or trees coming down on the trail. Almost knocked down in field near bottom we knew this was the right call. Beers & lunch at Woodstock Inn earlier than expected!
