Comments
Comments: The Avalon Trail is fairly well packed out, but the A-Z and Mount Tom Spur is pretty choppy still. I wore snowshoes and there were 2 others on the trail today- not enough to pack it down well. It was pretty powdery. There were occasional postholes but not too bad. Make sure you have eye protection- glasses/goggles or something. There were lots of branches at eye level or just above and a couple could be dangerous if you are looking at your feet. Gorgeous views today from the summit and short spur just below the summit.
