| Comments: |
No sign of action on this trail since Sunday's snow/rain storm. Initially, the trough was very visible covered with only an inch of fresh snow.
From the start of the steep section up to Noon Peak the trough was no longer visible other than in short sections here and there. Trail-breaking got increasingly harder (4-6") with occasionally deeper drifts.
Did a poor job navigating the steep section up to Noon Peak - losing the trail a couple of times. Stay right if in doubt.
Plenty of face-slappers (goggles would not be out of place) - but at least we took care of knocking the snow of them. |
