Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: we drove bungy road from rt 26 in colebrook to its junction with champion road in columbia. the road was well plowed all the way, but became progressively narrower and less maintained farther out. no issue in a mid clearance awd. room to park a vehicle or two without blocking access to champion for snomos.

Comments
Comments: champion road was snomo packed under a few inches of new powder. shortly a major snowmobile corridor joined which was well travelled. we turned off champion road onto an unmarked and untravelled road that runs west across the north ridge of moran notch mountain (shown on usgs). at a likely point we started our bushwhack up onto the crest of the north ridge in mostly open woods. snow had a good base with moderate breaking of maybe 6-12" with deeper areas. up on the ridge there were some nice firm areas. snow was a bit less consolidated, but woods remained good up to the summit and recognized highpoint.
