| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
I drove town hall road to its plowed end and gate where it becomes Slippery Brook Road. There is good parking, which seems to be popular for skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling. |

| Comments: |
Forest road 234/Burnt Knoll Brook Road leaves just after the gate. The road was well packed by considerable snowshoe traffic. A half mile or so up, snowmobile tracks join. The road was snowmobile packed to almost 2,000 feet, which must have made for some remarkable ridding. Where the tracks stopped, I began to bushwhack up to the Rickers/Twins Col. Snow off trail was quite supportive; I was only averaging 3" or so of sinking. From the col, I followed the ridge up to Rickers. I returned in my tracks to a point above the col and went over both Twins and Shaw. Returning to the Shaw/Twins col I slabbed around to meet my tracks and took them down. The woods were open in many places, with some sprucy areas to swim through, but never too thick. The three major highpoints (not s. twin) are recognized. |
