Trail is mostly consolidated, brought snowshoes and crampons, but microspikes were sufficient for the whole trail. A few postholes from earlier hikers have hardened up, so be careful of those. The snow pack on the trail has placed many branches at face/eye-level. Makes for slow going in spots - be careful, got a few good whacks and pokes.
Great day to be out with temps in the 20's, no winds and good visibility. |
