Comments
Comments: Hancock Notch and Cedar Brook were well packed. I used snowshoes the entire way. I went up to North Hancock first (which I typically prefer to do). I was following a somewhat packed trail and then the trail kept going when I believe the trail should have branched off to the right-which I took-I saw some footprints and then new snow and drifts took over and I began breaking in a new trail-eventually it ended up being somewhat packed again up to summit with maybe 4 inches or so of new snow. North summit was beautiful-started heading towards South-and the drifts were much deeper. At one point while standing at a blaze I lost the trail-I think I should have stayed to the right but didn't so it was quite messy heading up through trees/branches. I found it again but then I think I lost it again as I got close to summit-everything just looked like a really big snow drift. It was very windy/cold. Once I hit the junction to go down from south I left immediately. That trail was easy to follow out.
