Comments
Comments: Cold start this morning with a nice warm up this afternoon. Lower Bridle Path and Faraway Mountain trail were broken and had seen some booter and ski traffic making them a bit choppy. Once on the Upper Bridle Path there was only one set of snowshoe tracks in front of us. Some sections had drifted in making for some trail breaking here. Oak Ridge Cutoff and the High Ridge Trail were unbroken. About 6-8 inches with a breakable crust below. We broke trail for about a mile and a half until popping out on the snowmobile trail. Lots of snowmobile traffic on the mountain today. We talked with several on the summit. Views to the north were a bit hazy today but still were impressive. As we neared the bottom we were starting to get some balling under foot as the temps had come up a lot. Great trails with nice easy grades coming from the Castle grounds.
