Comments
Comments: My friend and I decided on Tom today and it was a beauty. Wore snow shoes to and from the vehicle. A few people going to Avalon had just spikes on and they were probably sufficient up to the Avalon A-Z Junction. After the junction the snow was loose powder and snow shoes really helped. There were about 10 people coming off of Tom and all had snow shoes on. Snow is very deep in the mountains so watch out for branches that want to wack you in the face. Happy hiking!
