Philip and I walked the Sawyer River road in spikes. Road was well groomed. Someone had also beat down 1.5 miles of the signal ridge trail so we stayed in spikes. At that point we switched to snowshoes as we had to break 4-6 inches of new snow, but underneath was hardpack. Snowshoe to the summit and back to where we put our snow shoes on to take them off. Spikes the rest of the way. Note the snow is starting to get soft so bring your snowshoes. 10-12 people on trail to the summit and back on the 13th of March. |
