A few new inches from the overnight storm, pretty easy going most of the way, a few sections where the loose snow required a little more kicking to keep from sliding backwards. Some drifting above treeline and on the Osgood trail. Used crampons from hut to summit. Footing was tricky as the new snow made it hard to discern what was underfoot - lots of ankle rolling on the rocks. Very slow going, some boilerplate ice in spots. Great day out, even saw the sun and blue sky for a good part of the day! |
