Comments
Comments: We started around 11 in the morning with really nice weather and no wind at all. Below the tree line, it's all nicely packed and although we used spikes, snowshoes would have been much better. Multiple snowshoes tracks at some points were confusing but they eventually merged. Once we reached the first overlook, exposes areas were all loose snow and microspikes were a really bad idea. We tried our best not to posthole by trying to step on snowshoes tracks that were packed but ended up with a few holes anyway :(. The views from the top and the calm weather made up for the hike. Temperatures were rising and by the time we descended, the trail was all sticky. The parking lot ice had already turned to a puddle when we were back! Overall, a fun workout with nice views!
