Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: I had no problem driving a small front-wheel Drive car the nine miles in Dummer Ponds and Phillips Brook Road. This brought me very close to the summer start point. I drove just past the road up the wind farm and parked in a pull-off on Phillips Brook Road. Signs suggest that the wind company prefers not to have people walking on the road. Since I watched two snowcats head up, I did choose to bushwhack a fair distance to avoid being shut out.

Comments
Comments: Snowcats have been up the road, so all is packed, but lose. I walked the road to near where it is shown as ending on USGS and then began bushwhacking towards tower 25. The woods were open and the snow was supportive until near the top, where I hit some wet/soft stuff. I hit the road near tower 25 and walked it to 26 and the highpoint. This route may have been faster than the road in these conditions, as it cut a major corner.
