| Comments: |
We walked a couple miles on the road to the trailhead. The trail had been skied on, but was very soft with wet spring snow. In places the snow was supportive, but in other spots, we'd plunge in fairly deep. The ski tracks went up to a campsite, where some snowshoe track began, making for better walking. The upper trail became very soft and made for lots of snowshoe postholing. All ledge was snow covered. The herd path to the summit was unbroken and very tight due to the height of the snowpack. The highpoint is recognized only by a green paint stripe and some Gutowski String. |
