Comments
Comments: Well wanted to get out on the day before it got to warm. I was the second one on the trail with snowshoes. There was some fresh snow that had fallen the night before. The trail was in good condition from prioer snowshoers. The 2 others that were heading up around the time I was, both had snowshoes on as well. Once I got within about .25-.5 miles from the top the sun and weather got the best of the snow. The snow on the snowshoes started to ball up. I just kicked it off during that time and made it to the top. I was a little cloudy over the presi's but still a great day and little wind on the top. I got some chocolate from Hiker Ed and headed back down after him. From the top to the bottom the snow stayed that consistency of sticky like snowballs. I just made sure I used my tails of the snowshoes and it came off while walking. About 10 others passed me heading up while I was heading down, all had either light traction or no traction at all. Not sure how the trail is going to look after that as most post holes were forming after I had passed them.
