Trails were pretty solid today, being much colder, but it must have been pretty slushy the past few days. Saw snowshoe sized post holes toward the base!
Re-broke the Engine Hill bushwhack after a few inches of snow overnight and deeper drifts from the strong winds. Lost the trail a couple times heading up Isolation Trail to Davis Path. We let the people hiking behind us know so they hopefully broke out the actual trail and not the strange extra bushwhack we did to meet Davis Path.
Davis Path over to Isolation is a tough go pushing through a tunnel of branches as the snowpack is so high. Be prepared with a hard shell as others have commented. |
